VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!!
Our Books on Break program puts books into the hands of students in need at two Chatham County Schools. Both of these school host over 90% of students on the Federal Free and Reduced Lunch program.
Our goal is to assure student have self-selected, and therefore high interest books to read during the summer. They are encouraged to read each day during the summer to assure they avoid the summer slide, and keep up with their more affluent peers.
Thank you for considering these rewarding volunteer activities.
- Book Sorts (May 4th and May 8th) – Help us sort books in Pittsboro, NC for a few hours of the day.
